After establishing the brand Amway and its health sub brand Nutrilite, Amway India, one of the leading direct selling FMCG companies in the country, is looking at growing its beauty business in the market. To take on competition from other direct selling beauty brands like Mary Kay, Avon, and Oriflame, Amway India is planning to launch its beauty brand in mass media. That is why the company has appointed Havas Media India as its media partner.
Talking about the strategy, Naveen Anand, CMO, Amway India said, “Amway today is a well -known brand in India and our range is getting even more extensive to cater to a higher range of customer needs. So far we were focussed on building our mother brand “Amway” and health & nutrition brand “Nutrilite”. Now we have decided to launch our beauty vertical in mass media. We were looking for an agency that would do justice to our beauty vertical – we found Havas Media to be the right partners with a sound strategy and a team which showed a lot of passion for our Business.”
Under the deal Havas Media Inda will be responsible for media planning and buying for Amway’s beauty brands. This deal marks the agency’s business consolidation strategy and its growth plans n India. “We are delighted to have Amway as a part of our portfolio.
